Summary
A gold enamelled bracelet/brooch in the form of a lizard inset with cabochon pearls and ruby eyes.
Provenance
Items were given by a Mrs Pilkington who was Spencer Pickerings niece at a house called the Castle in Woolacombe . Spencer Pickering was Evelyn De Morgans brother. On a list chattels given to the National Trust ,Arlington Court was given amongst other things a Lizard broach of gold and green colouring in April 1971 by Mrs Pilkington. It was purchased on Spencer Pickerings honeymoon for his wife Edith in Venice in 1898.
