Summary
A joined oak panel-back open armchair, Leeds, West Yorkshire, circa 1670. The toprail carved as a pair of opposing scrolls, above scroll-carved ears. The back panel carved with a lozenge and between downswept scroll-ended arms on baluster-turned arm supports flanking a boarded seat with chip-carved edge. Raised on column and ring-turned legs joined by peripheral stretchers and on later bun feet.
