Summary
A cream-painted wooden low dresser, English, circa 1780, with a probably contemporary but associated cabinet superstructure, English, circa 1770, with similarities to the Muniment Bookcases designed by Robert Adam [NT 959803 & NT 959804]. The cabinet topped by a pediment above a dentilled breakfront cornice and a pair of glazed doors flanked to either side by a single glazed door and spaced by 'panelled' pilasters with reeded capitals. The low dresser with three short drawers above three cupboard doors.
Provenance
Date of acquisition not recorded but by descent in the Winn collection until purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2008.
