Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mrs Jennyngs (b.1550/51), aged 45, English School, inscribed AETATIS SUAE. 45: / 1596. A half-length portrait of Mrs Jennyngs, aged 45, in black dress and white patterned stomacher, white ruff and black hat. Coat of arms, top left: is impaled. Dexter: quarterly, 1 & 3 or (?), a band vert (?), charged with one and two halved fleurs-de-lis, between 3 halberds proper; 2 & 4 argent, a band gules, and a cross fitchety of the same; or, a band vert (?), charged with three stags’ heads, argent.
