Summary
Manuscript book with various notes and passages, with caption title at heading of contents table: Adversaria; only entered on first eight leaves (paged by hand to p.13); contents tabulated but not entered. The contents includes the House of Lords debate on the writ of Habeas Corpus against the Earl of Ferrers, "Febry 7, 1757" and notes from Josiah Tucker's 'Instructions for travellers' which first appeared also in 1757, as well as a transcription from Cicero de 'Oratore'. Dating suggests it could have been a commonplace book started by George Harry Grey, 5th Earl of Stamford (1737-1819). Formerly Family Flat (DUN/F/736), box 4/4
