Press cutting, Altrincham Guardian, 20.VII.[19]17 : 'Splendid gifts to Altrincham. Oldfield Park: land for workmen's dwellings. Munificence of Mr. John Leigh and Lord Stamford.' An illustrated article, including portraits, of the gifts of land by John Leigh and the Earl of Stamford to Altrincham District Council, as a site for workmen's cottages, and a public park.
