Summary
Typescript letter copy signed from E.J. Hodsoll, at the Home Office, Air Raid Precautions Dept., to Dame Beryl Oliver, enclosed with autograph letter signed from Beryl Oliver to Lady Stamford, on British Red Cross Society paper, dated 25.1.1937 and 28.1.1938 respectively. The letters relate to the need to assist a Mrs. Laird in her efforts to revive Red Cross activities in Birkenhead. Lettter contained In British Red Cross Society Cheshire Branch , List of divisions [etc] (1935), with manuscript notes, and both contained in Cheshire Branch handbook, 1928. Amongst items from Family Flat in card box lid labelled "Programme blanks Dunham Massey."
