Tyvek envelope containing two linked items: autograph letter signed of E.J. Lloyd, of Oldfield hall, to the Earl of Stamford, requesting Lord Stamford's recommendation that Mary Howarth be admitted to the Jubilee School at Manchester, March 1842, with autograph pencil manuscript note signed Stamford & Warrington (i.e. George Harry Grey, 6th Earl of Stamford) to 'The Ladies Committee of the Jubilee School at Manchester' making that request.
