Summary
Autograph letter signed by Charles II of England (1630-1685), without addressee, but presumably to George Booth, 1st Baron Delamer of Dunham Massey (1622-1884). Headed "Brusselles 2 April 1660".He expresses satisfaction with the service of the letter bearer, remarks on the bearer's commendations of the recipient, and further expresses his confidence in the recipient's affection and a wish that "the peace and happynesse of the nation may be established upon those good foundations". It is a letter sent in the month before the Restoration and Charles' return to London on 29 May, 1660. With red wax armorial seal.
