Summary
Cylindrical metal tin with a cream, green, red and black label reading 'Steak and Tomato Pudding', C. & E. Morton Ltd., London, England; part of a collection of food tins and packages contained in (b) rectangular cardboard box with lid, Prisoners' Parcels, British Red Cross & Order of St. John War Organisation. This is a Second World War Christmas parcel, destined for prisoners of war. It is believed to be a replica, albeit a historic one, because the tins and packages are unopened and the chocolate wrapper is stamped 'DUMMY'.
Provenance
