Summary
Bedstead consisting of: (a) pair of square, tapering, oak head posts, each with hooks on which to hang curtain rods (top metal spikes missing), and a fillet with which to retain the headboard; (.i) incised 'VIII'; (b) pair of round, oak (?) tapering foot posts, each with square section at the point at which the end and side rails are bolted to the post (to take end/side rails with a single bolt at each end), metal top spike and two hooks on which to hang curtain rods; (c) pair of plain end rails, each with rebated edge to which is attached a length of canvas: (.i) has a narrow, longer length of canvas with rope holes around the edges and rope present; (.ii) has a wider, shorter length of canvas with rope holes along the loose long edge (some rope present). It also has 'Bedstead from over Dairy' handwritten in blue crayon. The side rails which would have belonged to this bed would be off-centre and not necessarily of the same thickness as the posts.
