Summary
One of two square, tapering, oak head posts with bevelled/smoothed edges and decorative shaping below the point at which the end and side rails are bolted to the post, the bottom of the posts becoming octagonal. Each post has a wood fillet with which to retain the headboard, a metal spike at the top, hooks on which to attach curtain rods and single bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end. Part of the head end of a four-poster bedstead.
