Summary
Head end of a four-poster bedstead with ‘No. 6’ handwritten on each part in pencil: (a) two red-stained pine, square, tapering head posts, each with metal top spike, additional fillet for retaining a headboard (not present), single bolt holes for receiving end/side rails with one bolt at each end, many tack marks and with a metal castor (missing from [a.i]); (b) plain, red-stained pine end rail with rebated inside edge to which is tacked a canvas mattress support (DUN/T/1698) with rope holes along each side and at the loose end, and with the rope attached.
