Two turned mahogany column posts, each on a thick square base (not as thick as [a.i+ii]) incorporating bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end, the bolt holes covered by a hinged, pressed brass rosette (not all present), and the square bases tapering downwards to a foot with additional moulding. Each post also has a brass pin just over half way up and has been sawn just above the pin, the upper part of the post now missing, part of an incomplete mahogany four-poster bed, probably a tester bed.
