Summary
Single slim, square, tapering chestnut head post, painted red ochre, with long metal top spike, metal castor, tack marks and woodworm holes, short additional fillet for retaining a headboard and bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end. Incised 'I' and 'III' at the point at which the end and side rails are bolted to the post.
