Summary
Single short, thick, square, tapering stained-red pine head post with long metal top spike, metal castor, tack marks and woodworm holes, short additional fillet for retaining a headboard and bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end. Incised 'V' and 'VII' at the point at which the end and side rails are bolted to the post.
