Summary
Head post, one of three plain oak bed posts which can either be described as octagonal or with bevelled edges, with square bases (the square sections beginning lower on the foot posts than the head post) with single bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end, and with metal hooks at the top. The head post (a) is misshapen at the top and all three posts are slightly warped.
