Summary

Two square, tapering, oak head posts, each with short additional fillet for retaining a headboard and with square hook at the top. A lack of visible bolt holes suggests end/side rails may be slotted into place only. A brown textile fragment remains under tacks on one of the posts.

Provenance

Stamford collection; devised to the National Trust by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896-1976).
