Summary
Head piece (?) in the shape of a butterfly, the wings shaped from pale, fine feathers, the edges trimmed with gold sequins and the feathers, where the points meet, are applied with a deep section of gold sequins. A large round glass gem represents the body. The black wire is bound in places in cream and rust brown thread/tape. Part of a collection of costume items also including: (a) two leaf/wing-shaped items consisting of cream/pale gold gauze attached to a thin wire frame edged with silver sequins and with a trellis section at one end in gold sequins; (c) misshapen headpiece (?) in cream satin and pale gold gauze.
