Summary
One of three metal viewers, each with a tapering rectangular body and two long cylindrical eye pieces lined with velvet stitched through the metal. Each also has a folding handle on the base of the body with which to hold it up to the eyes. This one is painted black. A 'Japanned picture viewer' is mentioned as being in the Great Gallery in the 1883 inventory.
