Summary
'Hand' bell by Peter Archambo, 1738/39, 'flared cast body has a moulded rim and a horizontal rib above. The baluster-shaped handle is cast and has an annular finial. The clapper is connected to a soldered hook. The front is engraved with the initials 'GW' in foliated script surmounted by an earl's coronet' (Lomax and Rothwell, 'Country House Silver from Dunham Massey', pp. 68).
