Summary
A fine Queen Anne silver gilt alms dish, engraved with a scene of the Descent from the Cross with buildings and wooded landscape to the background, within a narrow band of foliage, scrolls and shells, the reverse engraved 'The Earle of Warrington's Chapell', by Isaac Liger, 1706. The engraving is taken from the painting by Annibale Caracci and executed by Simon Gribelin. Literature - Charles Oman, Englic(s?)h Church Plate, plate 133.
