Caption
The sitter was the Rector of Lasham, Hampshire, and Rural Dean and honorary Canon of Winchester. He was the father of Elizabeth Louisa Penelope Theobald, Countess of Stamford (1865/6–1959), who married on 18 April, 1895, William Grey, 9th Earl of Stamford (1850–1910).
