Summary
Iron frame with integral spring mattress support, part of a brass Edwardian single bedstead with iron frame and spring mattress support. Also consists of: (a) a decoratively cast brass and iron headboard on castors and with ball finials; (b) a decoratively cast brass and iron footboard on castors and with ball finials . The iron sections of the head- and footboard, and the iron frame, have been painted to resemble brass. There are several designer, manufacturer and retailer plaques on the various sections of the bed which was supplied James Shoolbred & Co., Tottenham House, London.
