Summary
Contents of squat, oval, glass jar with silver cap hallmarked, stamped externally with an earl's coronet and stamped internally with 'FINNIGAN'S LD. / MANCHESTER' (DUN/S/491, g), belonging in tan crocodile skin travelling case (DUN/L/6) by Finnigans, Manchester, c. 1917. The collection includes: an unpainted, circular, white metal button stamped 'T. BROWN / ETON'; two similar metal buttons painted black and stamped 'NE PLUS ULTRA'; a small mother of pearl button; two white and one cream plastic shirt studs; four boot buttons with white (now dirty) ribbed textile.
