Summary
A brass armillary sphere by Thomas Wright, with circular dials, the interiors with full constellation of the sun and seven planets, the border with calendar and signs of the zodiac and compass base, on brass turned support with circular plinth inscribed 'Made by Tho. Wright instrument maker to the Prince of Wales'. Mid 18th century, on mahogany and oak tripod table base with hexagonal top and with hexagonal glazed cover.
