A black Japanned longcase clock, the striking movement signed by John Kirby, Bromley in Kent, the silvered metal chapter ring and chased ormolu spandrels to the arched dial with calendar aperture, the case decorated with figures, buildings and landscapes in tones of gold and colours, second quarter 18th century.
