Summary
A walnut chest, English, early to mid-18th century. Having a hinged lid with moulded upper edges and cockbeaded lower, and fitted with a pair of cockbeaded drawers. With central pendant arch to the front apron and raised on four angulate cabriole legs with pointed pad feet. With brass handles, backplates and escutcheons which are apparently original.
