Summary
Stone, The Chatham Urn, a stone urn carved by John Bacon the elder (London 1740 - London 1799) in 1780, in memory of William Pitt, Earl of Chatham. The urn was given to the 1st Duke of Buckingham in 1831, and sold in 1848. This is a modern copy of the original urn which now resides at Chevening in Kent.
