With love from P.I (?) E, February 1911 The recipient Mary Drewe (1900 - 1985) was the third child and one of two daughters of Julius, who restored the spelling of his name to Drewe in 1910. They lived at Wadhurst Hall in East Sussex having been purchased from the estate of the bankrupt Adrian de Murietta, a Spanish banker and extravagant friend of the prince of Wales, before her father built Castle Drogo in Devon. She died unmarried.
