Summary
A black and white photograph of the "Adolf Vinnen", aground just off the Lizard, 9 February 1923. She was on her maiden voyage from Kiel, Germany to Barry, Glamorgan, Wales and was driven ashore in a gale at Bass Point, Lizard. Her crew of twenty four were all saved. Contained in a brown photograph album containing sixty three black and white photographs, nearly all labelled, of Cornish wrecks 1890 - 1935.
Provenance
A gift of Miss R.M. Phillips, Penzance, who also gave other nautical memorabilia to the National Trust.
