Summary
A black and white photograph of the "Le Vieux Tigre", which went on to Bass Point, The Lizard, in fog 27 March 1935. The photograph shows the ship almost entirely submerged. Two women in coats and hats can be seen on the cliffs looking down at the sunken vessel. Rocks on either side and below the women a man can be seen standing on rocks near the ship. Contained in a brown photograph album containing sixty three black and white photographs, nearly all labelled, of Cornish wrecks 1890 - 1935.
Provenance
A gift of Miss R.M. Phillips, Penzance, who also gave other nautical memorabilia to the National Trust.
