Summary
A black and white photograph showing the cargo ship, "Nivelle" which came ashore at Lizard Head, Cornwall. Her crew were rescued by the Lizard Lifeboat and she was refloated on 25 June. The photograph has been taken from the beach not far from the ship, the waves breaking by the stern. Contained in a brown photograph album containing sixty three black and white photographs, nearly all labelled, of Cornish wrecks 1890 - 1935.
Provenance
A gift of Miss R.M. Phillips, Penzance, who also gave other nautical memorabilia to the National Trust.
