Summary
A black and white photograph showing the cargo ship, "Nivelle" which came ashore at Lizard Head, Cornwall. Her crew were rescued by the Lizard Lifeboat and she was refloated on 25 June. The photograph shows waves breaking over her bows, the headland just beyond. Contained in a brown photograph album containing sixty three black and white photographs, nearly all labelled, of Cornish wrecks 1890 - 1935.
Provenance
A gift of Miss R.M. Phillips, Penzance, who also gave other nautical memorabilia to the National Trust.
