Summary
A black and white photograph showing the rescue operation of sailors from the five-masted barque "Adolf Vinnen" off the Lizard February 1923. A man stands on the cliffs with three wires visible on the left, a man attached to the wires below him. There is an ink cross on the photograph just above what could be a man standing on the stern. Waves are breaking over the ship. Contained in a brown photograph album containing sixty three black and white photographs, nearly all labelled, of Cornish wrecks 1890 - 1935.

A gift of Miss R.M. Phillips, Penzance, who also gave other nautical memorabilia to the National Trust.
