From the bequest of Mrs Joy Burden, The Dower House, Kingweston, Somerset, 2010. [Joy Burden was the great grand-daughter of Caroline Carey and great niece of Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden.] This portrait had possibly been given to her by the 8th Viscount Clifden in 1969 - see his wife's letter of the 6th March to Michael Trinick which is on file .
