Summary
Fancy dress jacket - The jacket from a boy's Naval three-piece fancy dress costume, comprising of a jacket, trousers and waistcoat. The jacket of dark blue wool, lined in cream, with gold braiding and twelve buttons with anchors. Single pocket inside tail. Two small holes on each shoulder for epaulettes (missing).
Provenance
The Agar-Robartes family were very keen on dressing up and several costumes were found in the attics after the National Trust acquired the house in 1953.
