Summary
Large leather suitcase with straps, marked with initials F.G.A-R.; handles at both ends. Strap holders and interior marked with maker's stamp, Best and Co. Containing three pages of The Times, Tuesday, 23rd April 1929, two pages of the Morning Post, Saturday May 18th 1929, and pages from The Daily Express, Monday, 9th July 1934. Provenance
This case belonged to the Hon. Francis Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet until his death in 1966.
