Summary
A tester bedstead hung with drapes, English, circa 1790. The end mahogany posts leaf-carved and reeded, the framed foot board covered with pale green floral fabric to match the canopy and the drapes, the boxspring and mattress resting on unfinished side-rails.
Provenance
Originally from Saltram and also to be seen in a photograph of Her Ladyship's Bedroom taken by John Bethell in 1973.
