Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, The Hon. Caroline Lyttelton, Mrs Reginald Pole-Carew (1777-1833), attributed to Elizabeth Anne Paye (fl.1798 - 1807). c.1808. Head and shoulders portrait of a young woman, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, in a dark grey dress with square-cut lace collar and coral necklace. Large brown eyes, highly coloued commplexion, luxuriant black hair with plaited pigtails and brown bandeau. Greenish background.
