Blue and white Staffordshire oval earthernware meat plate or platter decorated with central vignette featuring a ruined castle, bridge and woman on a donkey. Well with blue peonies, rim with white Chinese-style peonies on pale blue ground. Early 19th Century. BROKEN 16.3.2015
