Summary
Black basalt jug of inverted bell shape with concave stem and spreading foot, the rim with rounded projecting lip, simple loop handle and glazed interior, from a Neale and Co. part tea service decorated with figures divided by Greek vessels all in relief. Below the relief work is a band of vertical ribbing, the narrow bands are etched.
