Summary
A large main rectangular frame with a central circle with four 'half-moon' shaped decorative moulded frames, on the circumference are four stylized under scale urns with foliage scrolls. Over the bay the moulding design follows the bay contour with alarge central relief detail of a shell or stylized acanthus leaf with a mask head beneath and surmounted by a cherub with arabesque swags of floral decoration.

Commissioned by John Parker (1735-1788) later Lord Boringdon.By descent to Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951) 4th Earl of Morley.Accepted in part payment of death duties by HM Treasury and transferrred to NT in 1957.
