Summary

(Folio 17, recto, middle print) A Man on a donkey with his back to the viewer holding a staff with a dog following him and a man wearing a hat leaning on a cow facing us and talking to the man on the horse. Mountain in the distance.

Provenance

At Saltram by 1771 and thence by descent to Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley and given to NT as part of the Endowment following transfer in 1957.
