Summary
Pencil drawings on tracing paper (costume figure drawing); four figures of men in 16th century, so-called Swiss costume; the first blowing a horn, the second holding a halberd, the third, below; in rear view, pointing to the right, the forth with a beard and a round head, crossing his legs and gesticulating, below his feet the indication of the year; '1500'.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1962 and given to NT as part of the endowment by Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley.
Marks and inscriptions
