Summary
Pencil drawing on tracing paper (historical/religious figure drawing); Jesus Saying Goodbye to his Mother (after Taddeo Gaddi) by Margaret Holford, Countess of Morley (1855-1908). In the centre of the picture; a man, on the left, Jesus, with an halo, saying goodbye, to a woman, on the right, Maria, with an halo, both seen in profile, turned towards each other, touching thier arms; on the right of them are standing three persons, one man, two women, in rich medieval garments, with coifs, on the left a peasant, seen in profile, going to the right, is carrying his bundle, in the background a big city, with a gate on the righ, beyond the three standing figures.

At Saltram by 1962 and given to NT as part of the endowment by Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley.
