Summary
Pencil drawing on tracing paper (religious figure drawing); Salvator Mundi (after Taddeo Gaddi) by Margaret Holford, Countess of Morley (1855-1908). In a long, pointed oval form, staying on a cloud; the figure of Jesus dressed in a wide suit falling down over his left arm that is holding a banner, while doing the gesture of bendicting; the cloud and the flag reaching out of the frame of the background form.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1962 and given to NT as part of the endowment by Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley.
