Summary
A mahogany butler's tray, English, late 18th/early 19th century, raised on a possibly associated grained softwood stand, NT 871497.2. The tray with two shaped short ends, pierced with carry handle apertures. One long side high and also pierced with a carry handle aperture, the other long side lower. Of dovetailed construction; the corners bound with brass. Lined with green felt to the underside.

Recorded on early National Trust inventory cards as 'purchased' by the National Trust sometime after 1957.
