Summary
One of a set of four Louis XV style painted elbow chairs with carved and moulded frames and on cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet, English, 19th century. The back, seat and arm pads are upholstered and covered in beige cretonne with floral decoration. NOTE INCORRECT PICTURE ON CMS RECORD SHOULD BE POPPY FLOWERS FABRIC
Provenance
At Saltram by 1951 and accepted by H.M.Treasury from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951), 4th earl of Morley in part payment of death duty and transferred to NT in 1957
