Summary
A set of four Louis XV style painted elbow chairs with carved and moulded frames and on cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet, English, 19th century. The back, seat and arm pads are upholstered and covered in beige cretonne with floral decoration.
Provenance
Accepted in part payment of death duties by HM Treasury from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877-1951) and transferred to the National Trust in 1957.
